The Nutrition A3 program is a group of six interactive projects that empower teens to make healthy food choices and be physically active. The goal is to change behaviors and reduce their risk of becoming overweight by using technology - a media teens love to engage in! Projects include:
- Getting Started with MyPyramid.
- Get Moving!
- Fun with Fruits and Veggies
- Eat to Win:Fuel Up with Less Fat
- From Screen Time to Fun Time
- Rate Your Beverage Choices
Nutrition A3 projects allow students to practice an interdisciplinary range of skills. These projects are suitable for the classroom or after- school programs. Lessons are linked to Illinois learning standards..
How to Get Started:
- Go to www.icollaboratory.org
- Select Create a New Account under the login link on the left navigation bar (this if free)
- Login to iCollaboratory
- Select Nutrition A3 Teacher eCourse from the list of courses at the bottom of the page to learn how to use the Nutrition A3 program. Earn 4 CPDU credits and a $50.00 stipend*
- Email ilnet@kidsroe.org with your name and school address to receive your stipend.
- To access the student projects, choose one of the projects listed at the bottom of the http://icollaboratory.northwestern.edu/ page. (You must be logged in to access this page.)
Note to earn a stipend you must complete the eCourse and submit the post-survey.
