About Illinois Schools Can!
Illinois Schools Can! is an Illinois Nutrition Education and Training program initiative to assist Illinois elementary school staff meet the USDA HealthierUS School Challenge criteria. The HealthierUS School Challenge is a national recognition program for elementary schools that excel in supporting student wellness. Schools that meet the Silver or Gold designation provide nutrition education and physical activity for their students as well as meals and other food options that meet the Dietary Guidelines for Americans and Challenge criteria.

- Access Move & Crunch Challenge resources
- This statewide competition for elementary schools was implemented in March 2008. However, we encourage school to use the resources available to plan and implement a similar Challenge event locally. The event helps raise student, staff and community awareness and commitment to making healthy choices every day.
